TWENTYNINE PALMS — An afternoon rainstorm ripped through Twentynine Palms Monday afternoon, Aug. 4, closing roads, stranding vehicles, knocking out power to an unknown number of residents, flooding downtown apartments and homes in the Hansen Tract.

TWENTYNINE PALMS — Planning for this year’s Pioneer Days celebration, set to take place Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 16 to 19 at Luckie Park and other locations around Twentynine Palms, is ramping into high gear.
